DRAMA AND MUSICAL THEATRE CLASSES

(all participants in our drama/musical theatre classes are given a character part)

 

Intro to Musical Theatre  (ages 4-6)
(act...sing...dance...create)
Saturdays:  8 weeks    Jan. 14-March 11  10:00-10:30

Each session is based around a different creative theme.  Children are encouraged to use their imaginations as they become different characters, learn to move to music and sing songs according to the theme. They will present what they have learned to parents on the final day of classes.


Dramatix  (ages 7-12)
(act...sing...dance...perform)
Saturdays: 
  11 weeks  Jan.14-Apr. 8       10:00-11:30

Students will be performing a show called Gastronomical Disaster.
Find out what Ogres, a French Chef, a music video and fast food have in common in this imaginatively creative comical musical.

Taking the Stage  (ages 9-18)
(full year program - 25 weeks)
Students will be performing 3 shows of the hilarious comedy, EYE SPY at the Finlandia Theatre
Friday May 5th    7:30 pm
Saturday May 6th     2:00 pm      and    7:30 pm
Tickets are $12.00 in advance and $15.00 at the door


EYE SPY  is a comical spoof of famous spies like 007,
Maxwell Smart & Inspector Clouseau.
Students will learn a variety of acting techniques, learn musical theatre choreography, vocal techniques for acting & singing, learn music, help create props and sets and be an integral part of the team.



Audition Preparation
(get the help you need to successfully audition for post-secondary programs in musical theatre, drama and music)
Work on monologues, songs, basic choreo & music theory.
Get audition advice and tips from a graduate of the Randolph Academy.

Private coaching sessions $30.00/hr.
